The atmosphere was magical when the Ukrainian pianist Svjatoslav Richter (1915-97) in a dark Tivoli Concert Hall played Beethoven's Diabelli variations at Sonning Music Prize Concert in 1986. Also listen to recordings from another solo concert that Richter gave a few weeks in the Odd Fellow Palace.
