For a long time, the composer, conductor and music educator John Høybye has been the source of inspiration for thousands of Danish singers who have sung his music or met him as an inspiring choir leader. In addition, with the choir Tritonus, he has played an important role in music life. John Høybye's 80th birthday is marked with a concert with DR's children's choir, Sokkelund Sangkor and DiabolusKoret and instrumentalists. The music is of course by John Høybye and conductors are Susanne Werndt, Morten Schuldt-Jensen and John Høybye. (The Galaxy in Ballerup January 12).
Ca. 21.30Soprano Eline Soelmark, who has made his debut from Det Kgl. Danish Conservatory of Music, sings Monteverdi, Barbara Strozzi and Händel.
